Youth Group

"Our Best Friend Walks On Water!"

The Youth Group is an ACTIVE community of teens (both from the church and from the community) who join together each Thursday from 4-7 p.m. to hang out, talk about our faith, eat some great food, and play some fun, active games.

While we have loads of fun together, we do learn about the relevance of God in our lives and how we can make positive changes in our lives.

We began this year off with an "Around our Sound Scavenger Hunt" event and a trip to London for Maplenoise. Other highlights for this year include Winter Camping in January as well as our annual Cypress Lake trip.

Congregation members support us with financial aid on some of our excursions and, of course, our devoted "Diner Diva's" who prepare our supper each Thursday.

From September 2011 to May 2012 the youth group is doing the "30 Week Challenge". This discipleship experiment involves considering what it means to follow Jesus in 30 different areas of life. We will reflect on and apply our faith in situations like family life, friendship, interactions with strangers, and much more. Anyone between the ages of 12-18 is welcome to join us any Thursday for Youth Group.
