Sunday Worship Services

St. Andrew's Church offers two Sunday Services where the worship experiences are distinct. While presentation is different, the message remains the same!
Sundays @ 9
Sundays @ 9 is a contemporary morning worship service held in our Christian Education Hall. The atmosphere of this service is informal where worshippers are seated at tables and coffee, tea and muffins are available each week. Music is provided by Arlen Wiebe and the Sundays @ 9 Praise Team. The song lyrics are displayed on-screen using PowerPoint so all may participate. Messages take a variety of forms including discussion. Lay participation is very much encouraged in the Prayers, giving a message/leading discussions and other responsibilities within the Worship Service.
10:30 Worship Service
The 10:30 service in the sanctuary includes hymns from the Book of Praise led by our choir and contemporary songs led by the 10:30 Praise Team, as well as Scripture readings, psalm selections, children's time, choir anthems, solos and sermon. The organ, piano and guitar are used for accompaniments. The service usually begins and ends with an organ selection. During the service, Powerpoint is used for the Call to Worship, Prayer of Approach, music texts, and sermon notes. While we consider this service more formal, it actually blends the various aspects of worship (word, music and technology) together. Nursery and Sunday School are provided during this service as well.
After the service we have coffee, tea and fellowship in the Christian Education Hall. It's a great way to get to know people and catch up with friends.
