Sunday School

One of the key components of our ministry to children at St. Andrew's is our Sunday School Program. Megan Purdy, our Director of Christian Education, oversees the program which is made possible due to the dedication of various skilled and trained volunteers.
The aim of our Sunday School time is to enable children between the ages of 2 -13 to learn and experience the stories of the Bible and our faith, in age appropriate ways, in an accepting environment. Children who are not yet 2 years old can be taken to the church Nursery where they will be cared for by competent caregivers during the worship service.
Curriculum
Currently we use a curriculum entitled Walk With Me in the JK-Gr. 8 classes.
Walk With Me is a biblically based, kid-friendly, easy to use curriculum that helps children grow in their faith, builds community, and has lesson plans that recognize the different ways that people learn.
Some of the goals of Walk With Me are:
- to encourage children to know, serve and love God
- to teach children the stories of Scripture from the whole Bible
- to equip children to live their faith in the community
- to partner with families in the work of nurturing faith
On any given Sunday you can find the children of St. Andrew's church having fun while learning key truths of our faith.
