Why Have A Church Library?

The church library is a valuable resource centre for the entire church.

The Value Of Books

Books can be:

  • Building blocks in developing character
  • Friends to bring us companionship and inspiration
  • Teachers to instruct us
  • Links with past generations
  • Tools to help us with our tasks
  • Exercise for our minds
  • Food for our spirits
  • Missionaries to help us share the Gospel with others

Books also:

  • Provide wholesome and needed relaxation and recreation
  • Help us develop ideals and values, bringing lessons from the past, hopes for the future, and helps for living in the present
  • Give us understanding of other people and insight into our own needs as we learn how God has worked in other lives and what He can do in ours
